For places that are meant to be felt, not just seen

Accommodation & Boutique Stay Photography

Your accommodation is more than a building with beautiful rooms. It is morning light through linen curtains, the sound of gravel under tyres as guests arrive, the quiet moment with a cup of tea on the verandah, the way the garden wraps around the day.

These are the details guests remember. These are the moments that turn a boutique stay into a story worth sharing.

I photograph boutique accommodation, farm stays and character properties for owners who care deeply about how their guests experience their space. My work is shaped by more than ten years in tourism and marketing, so I do not just look for what is pretty. I look for what makes people pause, breathe and feel welcome.

This is photography designed to support your bookings, your brand and the way your property lives online.

The Stay Story is a storytelling approach to boutique accommodation photography that captures atmosphere, flow, and the small details guests remember and talk about in reviews. It is designed to help future guests picture themselves in your space before they ever arrive.

I work with accommodation owners who care deeply about the experience they offer, not just how their property looks on a listing.

From working in tourism and marketing, I understand how guests move through a stay, what shapes first impressions, and where trust is quietly built. That experience guides every session, always with the guest in mind.

A Stay is more than a place to sleep. Guests choose with their imagination first.

They picture opening the door, dropping their bags, pouring a drink, and settling in. They want to feel welcome before they have even packed.

During your session, I photograph your accommodation as it is experienced, not just as it is styled. I follow natural light as it moves through rooms, pay attention to how spaces connect, and focus on the details that signal care and comfort. Interiors, outdoor areas, gardens and the moments in between all play a part in the story your guests are already telling themselves.

Where it suits the story, a gentle people presence can be included, always natural and never staged, to give a sense of scale and warmth.

Who this is for

This experience is designed for boutique accommodation owners and small hospitality businesses in Toowoomba, the surrounds and Southern Queensland, who want imagery that feels warm, natural and inviting, not staged or sterile.

  • You own a boutique stay, farm stay, cottage, villa or heritage property.

  • You want guests who choose you for the experience, not just the price.

  • You care about atmosphere, not just amenities.

  • Your property has personality and a sense of place.

  • You are building something you want to be proud of for years to come.

This is not fast turnaround listing photography. It is storytelling for places that deserve to be remembered.

A bedroom with a bed that has a wooden headboard, light blue and white floral bedding, and three pillows. Next to the bed, there is a wooden nightstand with a white lamp, a white mug, a gold candle holder, and a couple of books including a garden guide. There are also some plants visible in the room.

An approach shaped by the guest experience

My sessions are guided by observation rather than rigid shot lists.

I work slowly and intentionally, allowing spaces to settle and reveal their character. I follow the light, notice the textures, and pay attention to how a guest would naturally move through your property.

Because of my background in tourism, I am always thinking beyond individual images. I am looking at how your story unfolds from the moment someone finds you online, through to arrival and the way they feel when they leave.

For some properties, I also offer a Guest Experience Edit session as part of a more in-depth experience.

This is a dedicated consultation where we walk through your guest experience from first click to final goodbye. We look at touch points, moments of hesitation, and opportunities to strengthen how guests feel at each stage. The insights from this session help guide how your property is photographed and often highlight simple changes that can lift both confidence and connection with future guests.

It is practical, thoughtful, and grounded in real tourism experience.

Homes, gardens, and private places

The same storytelling approach is also available for private homes and gardens with character and soul. Many accommodation owners choose to document both their stay and their home, creating a cohesive visual story that reflects their lifestyle and business.

If this feels like your place, I would love to hear about it.
