I’m Laurene, a Toowoomba-based photographer working across Southern Queensland with a love for light, detail, and the small things that make a space feel alive.

I photograph boutique accommodation, homes and gardens, small businesses, and lifestyle moments, capturing the atmosphere and personality of each.

I’m inspired by travel and the outdoors. I love wandering through natural landscapes, listening to birdsong, and noticing the quiet corners many people pass by.

I’m drawn to the experiences that stay with you long after you leave. The small details in a boutique stay. The local recommendation that leads you to a hidden walking track or the best coffee and something sweet in town.

Those thoughtful touches and genuine moments of hospitality are what make a place feel memorable. That is the perspective I bring to every shoot. Not just how a space looks, but what makes it feel special.

Gardening is another way I connect with those details. I enjoy slow time outside, propagating plants, collecting seeds, growing vegetables, and watching bees move through the garden.

More often than not, I end up reaching for my camera. These everyday moments are where I’ve learned to notice light, timing, and the quiet rhythm of a space. That way of seeing naturally carries into my work, especially when photographing homes, gardens, and outdoor spaces.

Every project is approached with intention.

I notice how light moves through a space, how textures sit together, and which details create a sense of connection. I work calmly and with purpose, creating imagery that feels considered yet natural.
