Home and Garden sessions document the story of a home, its character, craftsmanship, and lived-in garden, in the style of country homes and gardens magazines. These sessions are available across Toowoomba and surrounding regions and run longer than a standard portrait session to allow time to explore the property.
-
Yes. Home and Garden lifestyle sessions are available across Toowoomba and surrounding regions, with travel arranged based on the property's location and scope.

My inspiration comes from those beautiful country homes and gardens magazines where character homes, craftsmanship and lived-in gardens take centre stage. Home and garden sessions are designed to document the story behind your space, the textures you love, the thoughtful details you have curated and the people who bring it all to life. These sessions are longer because there is so much to explore. I can offer styling suggestions, or you are welcome to include a designer if you prefer a more polished approach. Clients can use their images for personal keepsakes, framed artwork, family albums or milestone celebrations. Some homeowners also choose to submit their homes for editorial features or use imagery for design portfolios if they have completed significant renovations or landscape projects.
-
Travel is a meaningful part of my work and allows me to photograph homes, properties, businesses and accommodation across Southern Queensland and beyond. Home, Garden and Design projects are available across Toowoomba and the surrounding regions, with travel arranged according to the property's location and scope. Boutique accommodation and personal branding photography extends across regional Queensland and interstate, with tailored travel arrangements quoted individually for properties or businesses located further away. If your project takes me somewhere new, I’m always happy to have the conversation.
-
Session length depends on the collection and the story we’re creating. Home, garden, accommodation and design projects allow time to explore the space, details and changing light, while personal branding collections have set durations outlined at the time of booking.
-
Preparation depends on the type of project. For accommodation and interiors, I provide guidance around styling, presentation and the details worth having ready before I arrive. For personal branding, we will discuss locations, clothing, props and the parts of your working day that are worth capturing. My aim is to make the process considered without making it feel overly staged.
-
Yes, you are welcome to share your images as much as you like. I just ask that no filters or edits be applied, as each image is carefully crafted to reflect my style. If you choose to credit my work with @laurenebardsleyphotography, I would appreciate it.
-
You will receive a private online gallery link via email, where you can view, download and save your images to your devices. Your gallery remains online for three months, so I recommend downloading your images promptly and saving them in multiple locations for safekeeping.
-
Yes. Most people feel unsure in front of a camera. I offer relaxed, simple direction at the beginning and whenever needed, without creating highly posed or unnatural moments. My goal is to help you feel comfortable so your images feel effortless and authentic.
-
Cloudy weather is often beautiful for soft light, but if conditions become unsafe or unsuitable, we will reschedule to the next mutually suitable date. If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible and we will move your session to the next available date; if you choose to cancel entirely, the booking fee is retained to cover the date you held. Should I be unable to photograph your session due to illness or injury, I will contact you immediately to discuss rescheduling, and if that isn't possible due to your commitments, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
-
Each collection includes a clear number of images, which is outlined when you book. I always deliver generously and never hold back images that deserve to be part of your story. I make thoughtful adjustments to colour, light and overall tone, and do not alter permanent features or change body shape. Minor, temporary marks such as small blemishes or bruises can be softened or removed upon request. Unedited or original files are not provided.
-
Delivery times vary depending on my workload. Lifestyle portrait and home and garden galleries may take up to six weeks. Branding and accommodation collections generally have a quicker turnaround, though it also depends on the current workflow and the type of project.
-
Branding photography is a visual expression of your work, personality and offering. Instead of highly posed images, we create scenes that feel genuine, warm and understated.
-
Consider the feeling you want clients to experience when they visit your website or social pages. Gather props that represent your work, select outfits that match your brand's tone and ensure your space is tidy and welcoming. I provide guidance on poses, props, scenes, colour palettes and the overall flow of your session, aiming for imagery that feels elevated, refined and deeply aligned with your brand.
-
Accommodation imagery is designed to feel warm, inviting and experiential. Each collection includes a planning conversation, styling guidance, a custom shot plan, and professionally edited images tailored for your website, booking platforms and social media. I capture interiors, entries, outdoor spaces, garden paths and the atmosphere guests notice as soon as they arrive.
-
Yes. Seasonal sessions refresh your imagery as gardens evolve, décor changes or new experiences are added throughout the year, and I offer practical styling suggestions to help each space feel warm, lived-in and appealing.
